In June, the Credit Union 1 team remained deeply engaged with their communities through a wide range of impactful events. The Bradenton Branch participated in three major events that highlighted their commitment to professional development and outreach. At the CareerSource Suncoast Open House and the State of Talent Conference, CU1 connected with job seekers and business leaders, with Mireya Eavey proudly representing CU1 on a panel discussing financial wellbeing in the workforce. Additionally, the Bradenton team attended the GCBX Reverse Trade Show, a valuable networking opportunity that brought together developers and small businesses in the construction industry helping to expand CU1’s presence and impact in the professional and business community.

The Rantoul Branch stood out with community involvement this month. Their team volunteered at the First United Methodist Church of Rantoul Food Pantry, supported the Rantoul Public Library’s Summer Reading Kick-Off, and attended both the Rantoul Area Chamber of Commerce After Hours Networking event and the Rotary Business Expo & Officer Installation. Their consistent presence across educational and social initiatives demonstrates their dedication to their involvement in the community.

Other highlights include the Evergreen Park and Community Relations teams attending the Evergreen Park Fire Department Senior Health Fair, which brought together over 100 service providers for seniors. Evergreen Park also took part in the Lumity Financial Literacy Program, helping guide young adults in financial decision-making. The Hobart Branch supported their community by contributing to the planning and execution of the Hobart Chamber Golf Outing, while also maintaining educational outreach. The Lincoln Park Branch continued its monthly tradition of serving meals at the Lincoln Park Community Center.

Credit Union 1 also had a strong presence at the Sycamore Chamber Golf Outing and the Chicago Small Business Expo—two key events that allowed for great networking, exposure, and conversations around financial solutions for small businesses. The Vernon Hills Branch returned to the Health Fiesta event, supporting wellness and financial literacy alongside other community partners.

Together, these events highlight Credit Union 1’s commitment to community service, financial education, and strengthening relationships with individuals and organizations across all the areas we serve.
