In May, Credit Union 1 proudly continued its dedication to community support and financial education across numerous branches and initiatives. Our teams actively engaged with youth through career days at Twin Lakes Elementary and Wescott Middle School, financial literacy courses, and scholarship presentations at Plano, Sycamore, and DeKalb High School, empowering the next generation with essential money management skills.
The branches supported local communities by volunteering at food pantries such as Glen House, Libertyville Township, and Eagles Nest, as well as participating in resource fairs like the Rantoul Community Resource Fair. The Lincoln Park branch continued its monthly tradition of providing hot meals to shelter residents, while the Matteson branch joined the Memorial Day parade to connect with local families.
Credit Union 1 also strengthened partnerships through health and wellness events, including the Susan G Koman for the Cure Walk and the Chicagoland Health Fiesta Fair hosted by Vernon Hills and Lincoln Park branches. Our team expanded outreach at events such as the Shop with a Cop Golf Outing and the Campus Coin Invest Chicago program, highlighting opportunities for youth financial and professional development.
Across all locations, Credit Union 1 remains committed to delivering impactful financial education, fostering community wellness, and building lasting relationships that enrich the lives of those we serve.
